Boston in the morning

Well I'm just over 12 hours away from my first Boston Marathon. Trish and Grant are off on a tour. Even with the past experiences of Pre-Ironman I still don't think Trish understands the importance of being off my feet the day before a race. I hung with them for a while but headed back early to relax.

I have to admit a little nervousness. This is something I usually coach so I know what to tell myself. The problem is this is uncharted territory for me so I'll just roll with it. I'm not thrilled about arriving several hours early to a race but I understand with 25000 people and a point to point race you have to do something to get people there.

Thanks to Jayne for taking care of me today. What a huge load off my mind.

After preparing for this race and all the travel and rushing and worrying....it is here. I cannot even begin to imagine what Kona will be like. A dream to come true.....

Well, here we go. I'll write after the race.
